INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP ONE:

Cut 24 triangles using the pattern piece. You can scale it up or down depending on your desired size. The pattern piece at 100% scale will give you about an 18” inch finished pillow (measured at the widest point).

STEP TWO:

Sew three pieces together along the long edges (right sides together) to form each point of the star, using a 1/4 inch seam allowance. If you are using multiple colors, be thoughtful about how you distribute them.

Leave a section on one of the seams open for turning and stuffing on just one of the triangles.

STEP THREE:

Sew the points together along the short edges (with right sides together), working in 2 groups of 4. The 4 sections should all meet at one point in the center. Reinforce the seam at the interior point where they all meet.

STEP FOUR:

Once you have each group of 4 sewn together, the remaining unsewn edges form a square. Sew the 2 squares together (with right sides together.

STEP FIVE:

Turn inside out through the opening you left in one of the seams. Stuff the star, taking care that you fill each section all the way to the point.

STEP SIX:

Hand stitch the opening closed.

Enjoy!!
